Huawei’s launch event highlighted the Mate XT’s advanced features and pricing, marking a significant departure from last year’s product launch, which notably omitted details about the Mate 60 Pro’s chip technology.

Despite facing U.S. sanctions since 2019, which restricted access to advanced chips, Huawei has continued to innovate. The company recently released the Mate 60 Pro, featuring a chip produced by Chinese manufacturer SMIC using 7-nanometer technology. According to Canalys, Apple fell out of the top five smartphone vendors in China during the second quarter of this year, with Huawei securing the fourth position in market share by shipping 10.6 million units.
