Google has launched the Google One Lite plan, offering a budget-friendly option for cloud storage at just ₹59 INR (Less than 1 Dollar) per month. This new plan provides 30GB of storage, catering to users who need more space than the free 15GB offered by Google.
Google One Lite Plan Details:
- Monthly Subscription: ₹59
- Storage Allocation: 30GB
- Usage: The storage can be utilized across Gmail, Google Photos, and Google Drive.
- Availability: Currently, the plan is being rolled out gradually and is accessible to a limited number of users.
Previously, the basic Google One plan, which provides 100GB of storage, was priced at ₹130 per month. The Google One Lite plan offers a more affordable alternative for users who need less storage without the higher cost of the standard plan.
Features of Google One Lite:
- Sharing Restrictions: Unlike the standard Google One plan, which allows sharing with up to five additional users, Google One Lite does not support sharing. Users cannot share their 30GB of storage with family or friends.
- Trial Period: A one-month free trial is available for new subscribers.
- Annual Subscription: At present, there is no option for an annual subscription with Google One Lite. This contrasts with other Google One plans, which offer annual subscriptions with savings of up to 26%.
The Google One Lite plan was first observed in the Google Photos app in July. It is designed for those who need additional storage beyond the free tier but do not require the higher capacities of more expensive plans. Watch for its wider availability as the rollout continues.
